Proradix also increases the resistance of potatoes to Erwinia
In 2008 Sourcon Padena carried out the first positive tests against the pathogen causing bacterial soft rot (Erwinia carotovora).
The Erwinia bacteria generally survive in infected tubers showing no symptoms and migrate with the sap flow to young shoots and newly formed daughter tubers. A further significant form of distribution is the movement of infection from tuber to tuber via transport over the ground water.
On the basis of the results obtained, it can be assumed that treatment with Proradix can protect adjacent tubers from infection with Erwinia and that the pathogenic potency of infected tubers will be reduced.

Effective Treatment of Stem-Phytophthora due to a New Production Method for Proradix
Comparable results to copper treatment can now be attained with Proradix (60 g/ha) – this has been proved by investigations carried out by Agro Nord in the years 2008 and 2009. Due to an optimised method of production, we have now managed to extend the action of our plant protection compound, Proradix.

Now Proradix is also tested on a organic farm under EPPO-guidelines.
This year Agro Nord realised in North Germany a field trial in Dahlwitz (on an organic farm). The results confirm the positive effects of a tuber treatment with Proradix concerning the reduction of Rhizoctonia and an increase in marketable goods.

On 19th of September Sourcon Padena presents itself and the two products Proradix HORTIC and SALAVIDA for the first time in Stuttgart-Hohenheim. The professional audience showed much interest in both products for market gardening and salat cultivation. The outdoor test on tomatoes with Proradix HORTIC, which Sourcon Padena passed next various trials on the area, gained big resonance.

Great success for Proradix at the POTATO Europe
With Proradix, Sourcon Padena met with big interest on the „POTATO Europe“ from the visitors, who came to Emmeloord from all over the world to the biggest trade fair for potato growing.
Not only customers from the Netherlands and Germany were pleased about the presence; the distributor Koppert could socialise with many interesting distributors from Isreal, Egypt, Libie, Estonia, Ukraine, China, Singapore, Finland, Scotland (=UK), Iran, Iraq and Saudi Arabia, who were all enthusiastic about Proradix and its efficacy.
